What is Melasma?
Melasma causes brown to gray–brown patches on nose, forehead, chin, and upper lip. It is excess of pigment also known as hyper pigmentation. Sun-exposed areas are generally affected. It presents as symmetric hyperpigmented macules, which can be confluent or punctuate. It can occasionally occur in other sun-exposed locations. The most common hyper pigmentation disorders "liver" spots and "age spots".
